The police team returned with a valuable victory from Nawruz's ground after outclassing them with a goal to nil in the match held at Nawruz Stadium as part of the 31st round of the Iraqi Stars League, amidst a complete absence of fans due to the imposed punishment on the home side.

The police managed to score the only goal of the match early in the 11th minute through player Sajad Jasem from a penalty kick, which he successfully converted into Nawruz's net, giving his team a comfortable advantage for the remainder of the match.

The match witnessed tactical discipline from the police, who succeeded in closing down spaces against the movements of Nawruz players, relying smartly on quick attacking transitions. In contrast, Nawruz attempted to return to the match during the second half, but the police defense, along with the goalkeeper, were up to the task, maintaining a clean sheet until the final whistle.
