Students Thrash Al-Karkh with Four Goals and Continue Their Brilliance in the Iraqi Stars League

Al-Students Club achieved a wide and deserved victory against their host Al-Karkh with a score of (4-1) in the match held at the Ahmad Rady Stadium as part of the 31st round of the Iraqi Stars League, continuing their impressive performances and proving their readiness to compete for advanced positions.

The match began at a moderate pace, with timid attempts from both sides, before Al-Karkh was awarded a penalty kick in the 28th minute, which was taken by their Nigerian professional Benjamin Okoronkwo, but the goalkeeper saved it. Okoronkwo then followed up and scored, giving the home team the lead.

Despite Al-Karkh opening the scoring, Al-Students quickly imposed their control over the match, starting a high press that resulted in an equalizing goal from a penalty successfully executed by Luay Al-Ani in the 43rd minute.

In the stoppage time of the first half, specifically in the 45+6 minute, Karrar Mohammed snatched the second goal after a well-organized attack that he finished with a powerful shot, ending the first half with Al-Students leading 2-1.

The second half was not much different from the first, as Al-Students continued their physical and technical superiority. The Tanzanian striker Simon Msuva succeeded in scoring the third goal in the 53rd minute, capitalizing on a clever pass inside the penalty area, which he converted into a goal with brilliance.

Sharif Abdul Kazem concluded the students' goal festival with a fourth goal in the 60th minute, after a wonderful display of skills inside the penalty area where he dribbled past the defender and shot the ball into the net, amidst great joy from the elegant fans present in the stands.

On the other hand, Al-Karkh continued their fluctuating results, as they were unable to keep pace with the rhythm of the match, especially in the second half. Al-Karkh is considered one of the less supported clubs in the league, which sometimes affects the team's morale in such confrontations.

With this victory, Al-Students raised their points tally to 52, confirming their strong presence this season, while Al-Karkh's situation has become complicated, as they need to quickly review their strategies before entering a results crisis in the upcoming rounds.
