Officially.. Zakho signs coach Abdulghani Shahid

In a new step towards correcting the course, Zakho Club officially announced its contract with Iraqi coach Abdulghani Shahid to lead the team in the upcoming period, succeeding Qatari coach Talal Al-Balushi, whose mission with the team has ended.

The decision by Zakho's management to make the technical change came after a comprehensive study of the team's needs, and a desire to improve results and provide better performances in what remains of the Iraqi Stars League.

Abdulghani Shahid is considered one of the prominent coaching names on the local scene, due to his extensive experience and a rich record of achievements with several Iraqi teams, in addition to his previous experience with national teams of various categories.

Zakho officials rely on Shahid's experience in dealing with significant technical challenges and leading the team to achieve positive results that enhance its position in the standings.

For its part, Zakho's management expressed its gratitude to former coach Talal Al-Balushi for his efforts during the past period, praising his high professional spirit and contribution to working with the team, despite the difficult circumstances that accompanied his journey.

Abdulghani Shahid is expected to lead the team's training in the coming days, in preparation for upcoming challenges, amid widespread optimism among Zakho supporters regarding the new coach's ability to make a difference and bring the team back to the path of victories.
