Officially.. Talal Al-Balushi resigns from coaching Zakho
Qatari coach Talal Al-Balushi announced his resignation from his position as coach of Zakho team, following a series of negative results that affected the team's performance in the Iraqi Premier League, despite the strong start he had with the club this season and the previous season.
He clarified: "With great sadness, I have decided to resign from coaching Zakho team, after reaching the conviction that the current phase requires new blood to lead the team towards better outcomes."
He added: "I am very proud of the time I spent with this great club, where together we were able to achieve positive and distinguished results during last season and the beginning of the current season."
He continued: "We went through a wonderful phase, but as is the case in football, there are difficult times that require courageous decisions, and I see that the interest of the team is above all consideration."
He concluded his remarks: "I thank the management of Zakho Club for their great support to me throughout the past period, and I thank the players for their commitment and effort on the field, and I wish them success in the remainder of the season."
He wrapped up: "Zakho has a wonderful fan base and a conscious management, and I am confident they can return strongly in the upcoming rounds, and I will remain a supporter of the team wherever I am."
