Inter Milan achieved a valuable victory against its rival Cagliari with a score of 3-1 in the match that brought the two teams together in the 32nd round of the Italian league.

Inter Milan opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Marco Arnautovic with a powerful shot that found the back of Cagliari's net.

Lautaro Martinez scored the second goal for Inter in the 26th minute, following a precise pass from Arnautovic, while Cagliari managed to reduce the deficit by scoring their first goal in the 48th minute with a header from Roberto Piccoli, after an excellent cross from his teammate Oggiano.

The Inter players were not satisfied with this result and continued their attempts on Cagliari's goal, until they succeeded in scoring the third goal in the 56th minute with an excellent header from Jan Aurél Pesech.

With this important victory, Inter Milan strengthened its lead in the Serie A standings with a total of 71 points, while Cagliari's points remained at 30 in 15th place.
