Marcel Kohler, the head coach of Al-Ahly, spoke about his team's victory over Sudan's Al-Hilal and the red team's qualification for the semi-finals of the African Champions League.

Al-Ahly won against Al-Hilal with a score of 1-0 in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the African Champions League, noting that the first leg also ended with the same score of 1-0 in favor of the red team.

Kohler stated in remarks through the official website of Al-Ahly: "Al-Ahly achieved its goal from the match against Al-Hilal after winning, despite the many difficulties in the match. Playing on an artificial turf is completely different from the pitches we are used to playing on regularly, and the team only trained twice on the match field, while the opponent had the chance to play in front of their fans at home."

He added: "Al-Ahly had several opportunities during the match, and the team that wants to qualify must overcome all circumstances. The players were responsible and succeeded in delivering what was required of them in the best possible way. We achieved victory and qualification with merit."

Kohler concluded: "The team had many opportunities and was close to scoring on several occasions. Retaining possession of the ball was a fundamental task I requested from the players. The team is improving continuously, and the important thing is qualification, and after that, we will work on achieving the specific goals for the upcoming stage."
