Sporting Lisbon officially announced today, Tuesday, the death of Aurelio da Silva Pereira, the discoverer of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Sporting Lisbon stated in an official statement: "Sporting Lisbon extends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and his friends, and praises and thanks the years of effort, dedication, loyalty, and glory he provided to his family and friends."

Cristiano Ronaldo commented on the death of the Sporting Lisbon scout via the platform "X," saying: "One of the greatest symbols of training has left our world, but his legacy remains alive forever.. I will never stop feeling grateful for everything you have done for me and for many other players."

Ronaldo concluded: "Mr. Aurelio, thank you for everything, may you rest in peace."
