Shock for Real Madrid.. Opta Network Predicts Champions League Winner

The global statistics network Opta has revealed the team most likely to win the UEFA Champions League title for the 2024/2025 season, following the start of the quarter-final stage in the new edition that features 36 teams in a league format.

According to a report published by the Spanish newspaper "Marca", Barcelona topped the list of candidates to win the title with a probability of 23.1%, followed by Paris Saint-Germain, led by Luis Enrique, with 19.3%, potentially setting the stage for a fiery showdown between the coach and his former team in the final.

Arsenal came in third with a probability of 15.6%, surpassing Inter Milan at 13.8%, while Real Madrid's chances surprisingly dropped to fifth place with 12.2%, despite being the record holder for the most titles in the tournament.

The algorithms predict that Barcelona, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, and Arsenal will reach the semi-finals, with Barcelona ultimately prevailing and winning the European title.
