Real Madrid has decided to file an appeal against the sanctions imposed by the UEFA on some of the team's players, ahead of their clash with English side Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals.

According to "The Athletic" newspaper, the royal club is seeking to reduce the financial penalties and warnings received by its players.

UEFA has fined Antonio Rüdiger €40,000, Kylian Mbappé €30,000, and Dani Ceballos €20,000, in addition to warning Rüdiger and Mbappé with a one-match suspension in case of repeated unsportsmanlike conduct.

Real Madrid advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating Atlético Madrid in a penalty shootout.

They are preparing to face Arsenal next Tuesday at the Emirates Stadium, in a highly anticipated match set to kick off at 9 PM Cairo time, and 10 PM Mecca time.
