Real Madrid Awaits UEFA Sanctions on Its Players

Thursday 03-04-2025
A Spanish press report stated that the European Football Association "UEFA" will announce the sanctions imposed on Real Madrid players tomorrow, Friday.

UEFA had opened an investigation against Antonio Rudiger, Dani Ceballos, Vinicius Junior, and Kylian Mbappe due to their celebrations against Atletico Madrid fans in the Champions League.

The quartet celebrated in a "provocative and inappropriate" manner against the Rojiblancos fans at the Metropolitano Stadium, following their qualification for the Champions League quarter-finals.

The Spanish newspaper "Marca" reported that UEFA's disciplinary committee may impose financial penalties on Ceballos, Vinicius, and Mbappe, with the possibility of suspending them for one match if the incident is repeated in the coming year.

The newspaper concluded that Rudiger's manner of celebration was inappropriate, and he may be fined in addition to being suspended for one match immediately, which means he would miss the first leg against Arsenal in the quarter-finals.
