Egypt National Team Advances in FIFA Ranking While Argentina Maintains Top Spot
The International Football Federation (FIFA) released the monthly ranking of national teams today, Thursday, which saw the Egypt national team advance to 32nd place globally after previously being in 33rd place in the last ranking.
The Pharaohs achieved 1518.78 points thanks to their recent positive results, placing them third in Africa behind Morocco, which is 12th globally, and Senegal, which is 18th globally. Meanwhile, Algeria ranked fourth in Africa and 36th globally, while Nigeria came fifth in Africa and 43rd globally.
This advancement comes as the Egyptian national team prepares for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, alongside their anticipated participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.
On the global stage, Argentina maintained its top position, while Spain moved up to second place, and France dropped to third.
