European Clash for Roma's Goalkeeper
Friday 28-03-2025
Chelsea and Manchester City are preparing to enter a battle for signing Serbian goalkeeper Mile Svilar, the star of Roma, during the upcoming summer transfer window, amidst increasing European interest in his services.

According to 'Caught Offside', Svilar has so far refused to sign a new contract with Roma due to his dissatisfaction with the offer presented by the Italian club, and Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle, Bayern Munich, and Monaco are all monitoring the situation of the 25-year-old goalkeeper with the possibility of making offers to acquire him.

Roma may be forced to sell Svilar this summer if the renewal crisis continues, as his market value is estimated at around 35 million euros.

Chelsea is looking to strengthen its goalkeeper position amid the fluctuating performance of Robert Sanchez, while Manchester City is seeking a potential replacement for Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson, who is no longer at his previous level.

Svilar is considered one of the promising goalkeepers in Europe and is expected to be among the strong transfers this summer, especially with the desire of top clubs to reinforce their squads before the start of the new season.
