Arsenal Targets Hugo Ekitike
Thursday 27-03-2025
Arsenal FC has entered the race to sign French striker Hugo Ekitike, who plays for Eintracht Frankfurt, during the upcoming summer transfer window, aiming to bolster their attacking line in preparation for the new 2025 season.

According to the British newspaper "The Sun", Mikel Arteta, the head coach of Arsenal, has prioritized the young French striker to compensate for the absences the team has faced this season due to Gabriel Jesus's ACL injury and Kai Havertz's hamstring injury, which have impacted the team's attacking strength.

Ekitike, 22, joined Frankfurt in the summer of 2024 after activating a buy clause from Paris Saint-Germain, and he managed to have a fantastic season, scoring 19 goals and assisting 8 in 38 matches across all competitions.

The newspaper confirmed that Frankfurt will not easily part with the player, as the management has set an initial price of £60 million for his sale, while Arsenal faces difficulties in signing Newcastle's striker Isak, who will not leave for less than £150 million.
