Moise Kean: We Were Not at Our Level, and the Awakening Came Late
Monday 24-03-2025
Moise Kean, the striker for the Italian national team, confirmed that Italy should have shown a different performance after trailing 3-0 against Germany, noting that the team played with a different spirit in the second half, but failed to achieve the victory they hoped for.

In his statements, Moise Kean said: "It was important for us to deliver a different performance from the start; we could have performed better in the first half, but the important thing is that we managed to come back strongly in the second half."

He added: "The match was not easy at all; Germany is an excellent team. We tried our best, but they exploited the spaces and attacked us better. In the second half, we needed to change our approach, and we succeeded in that, but we couldn't achieve victory."

He continued: "We wanted to win, but we did not succeed in that. However, I am satisfied with the performance we delivered, and we need to focus on improving in the upcoming matches."

Regarding the goal that the Italian team conceded from a corner kick, he said: "We lost our focus at that moment, and that cost us a surprising goal. It's natural to make some mistakes, but we need to work on improving our defensive performance in the future."
