Exclusion of Mexican Club León from the Club World Cup
FIFA has officially announced the exclusion of the Mexican team León from the Club World Cup.
In its statement, FIFA mentioned that León was excluded because its owner also owns the Pachuca club, which will participate in the tournament as well.
According to FIFA regulations, it is prohibited for two clubs with the same owner to participate in the competition.
