Messi Expresses Regret After Being Omitted from Argentina Squad
Argentinian star Lionel Messi, player for Inter Miami in the USA, expressed his "regret" after being excluded from the Argentine national team list for the international break due to "injury".
Messi wrote on his Instagram account: "It's unfortunate to miss these two special matches with the national team against Uruguay and Brazil".
He added: "As always, I wanted to be there, but at the last moment, I suffered a minor injury that forces me to take a break before returning to play, which kept me from participating".
He concluded: "From my place here, I will be a fan and support the team like any other supporter. Come on, Argentina!"
