Monday 10-03-2025
Simone Inzaghi, the head coach of Inter Milan, emphasized the importance of his team's match against Feyenoord in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, stressing the need to maintain focus despite winning the first leg 2-0.

Inzaghi spoke at the press conference before the match, saying: "We are facing a strong team that will try to put us in a difficult position here in Milan, so we must be aggressive and decisive. I feel very good and I am fully focused on tomorrow's match; the last match against Monza proved to us that all matches are complicated."

Regarding some of his injured players, Inzaghi clarified: "Lautaro Martinez and Stefan de Vrij did not train with us this morning, but I have a positive feeling about their potential participation, and I will decide that tomorrow. As for Piotr Zielinski, I am sad about his injury; he was going through a great period. Dumfries deserves praise; he is always striving to improve."

Inzaghi spoke about Marcus Thuram's condition, confirming: "Thuram is suffering from some physical issues, and we will evaluate his condition before the match. He has not yet reached full fitness and has not been able to train at the same intensity, but he had a good training session today. As for Mehdi Taremi, he is working hard, and tomorrow's match could be a great opportunity for him to prove himself."

Inzaghi confirmed that starting goalkeeper Sommer will return to participate, but he praised the backup goalkeeper: "Sommer will return to the starting lineup tomorrow, but I am very happy with Emil Audero's performance; he has done a great job when given the chance."

Inzaghi concluded his statements by saying: "We are very proud of what we are doing this season, despite some absences that have affected our rotation options, we continue to work hard. We still have many matches ahead of us, and we must maintain our level until the end."
