Al-Nasr's Losses from Rejecting Its Protest Against Al-Urooba

Sports journalist Saleh Al-Turaiki revealed the only penalty that Al-Nasr faced after its protest against Al-Urooba was rejected, which was related to the eligibility of player Rafi Al-Ruwaili to participate in the last match between the two teams.

Al-Turaiki explained that the official decision indicated that a club whose protest is rejected does not face any other penalties aside from "the confiscation of the protest fee," which is the usual procedure in such cases. He added that if the protesting party feels that its reputation has been harmed due to the case, it can resort to the judiciary to open a separate legal file.

Al-Nasr was seeking to obtain the points from the match that ended with Al-Urooba winning (2-1) in the Saudi Pro League. They hoped that their complaint would lead to a change in the match result in their favor, but the decision came to settle the controversy and confirm Al-Urooba's position.

Al-Nasr fans expressed their dissatisfaction with the decision, considering that the team was wronged, while others believed that the club should have ensured the validity of its position before submitting the protest, in order to avoid wasting effort and money.
