Nawaf Boshul Promises Victory Against Esteghlal
Nawaf Boshul, the right-back of Al-Nassr, made a promise to his club's fans to achieve victory over the Iranian Esteghlal and secure a spot in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League.
Al-Nassr is preparing to face Esteghlal at the "Al-Awwal Park" stadium on Monday evening, as part of the second leg of the Round of 16 in the AFC Champions League.
Boshul stated in his remarks during the pre-match press conference: "We need to show up differently in the upcoming match against Esteghlal, to make Al-Nassr fans happy."
He added: "It doesn't matter whether Nawaf is outstanding or not; what matters is that Al-Nassr is and achieves victory, success, and qualification for the next round, and this is what we promise our fans."
When asked about the lack of protests against refereeing as other teams do, Nawaf said: "We do not want to protest against the referees, because when a player protests, he loses his focus on the field, and there is VAR. This is also the role of the captain, and you can see that our captain is performing this role well."
