Real Madrid Monitors Crystal Palace Midfielder

Monday 03-03-2025
British media reports have revealed that Real Madrid is interested in signing Adam Wharton, the Crystal Palace midfielder, as part of its plans to strengthen its squad in the summer transfer window.

According to the "Daily Mail," Joni Calafat, Real Madrid's chief scout, has shown admiration for the young player's potential at just 21 years old, with the Spanish club sending scouts to closely monitor his development in preparation for a move.

Wharton is attracting interest from major English clubs, notably Manchester United and Liverpool, but it seems their summer priorities differ, which may give Real Madrid an opportunity to advance in the race.

It is worth noting that Wharton moved to Crystal Palace in February 2024 from Blackburn Rovers for €21 million, with a contract extending until the summer of 2029. This season, he has played 16 matches, providing one assist without scoring.
