Baroni: Happy with the win, but we need to be bolder
Marco Baroni, the head coach of Lazio, appeared in important press statements following the victory against AC Milan with a score of 2-1, in the 27th round of the Italian league.
Baroni said: "We are a team that plays good football, but we still have a long way to go to become a great team. Matches like these help us grow and gain maturity and tactical awareness."
He added: "We were too conservative when Milan went down to 10 players, and that is a mistake we need to correct. We are a team that should play with focus throughout the match, not retreating unnecessarily."
He continued: "We expended a lot of energy today, but we also created many opportunities. For this reason, we need to always be bolder, as results come when we play in our usual style."
The coach also praised some of his players, saying: "Isaksson has amazing potential; he just needed some calm and confidence, and now he is starting to mature mentally and become a decisive player."
Regarding Zaccagni, he said: "Zaccagni had a great match, especially in terms of defensive coverage, which made things very difficult for Milan."
On Pedro Rodriguez's penalty execution, Baroni clarified: "It made sense for Pedro to take it; he is an exceptional player and a true professional, and in training, he never misses."
