Al-Sheikh: Al-Nasr Will Not Win Its Protest Against Al-Urooba
Former Al-Shabab Club President Talal Al-Sheikh stated that Al-Nasr's protest against Al-Urooba will be rejected.
Al-Nasr submitted a protest against the participation of player Raef Al-Ruwaili from Al-Urooba in a match during the 23rd round of the Roshan Saudi League, which took place last Friday.
Al-Nasr is betting on proving that Al-Ruwaili is an employee in one of the military sectors and is not dedicated to football, which is prohibited by the professional regulations in the Saudi league.
Al-Sheikh said on the program "Sports Scope": "Al-Nasr's protest will be rejected, as it is commonly known in Saudi football that protests are rejected."
He added: "Last season, Al-Shabab submitted a protest against Al-Nasr due to the participation of Mukhtar Ali, relying on a clause from FIFA's regulations.. Mukhtar Ali was registered with Chelsea with a different date of birth and nationality than what was registered with Al-Nasr."
He continued: "The regulations state that the player should be suspended and the match result adjusted in such cases, but Al-Shabab's protest was not accepted at that time.. I do not have confirmed information regarding Al-Ruwaili and Al-Urooba, but I am sure that the protest will be rejected."
