Liverpool has shown increased interest in signing Swedish striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle United, according to the British newspaper 'The Times'.
The newspaper reported that the real competitor for Liverpool in signing the 25-year-old player during the summer transfer window is Arsenal.
The significant interest in Isak comes after the former Dortmund and Real Sociedad player continued to shine in the Premier League, scoring 19 goals in the league this season.
In order to sign the player, who has Eritrean roots, the interested club will need to pay at least 75 million euros.
