Alexis Mac Allister's Comments After the Newcastle Victory
Midfielder Alexis Mac Allister spoke to the press following Liverpool's 2-0 victory over Newcastle in the 27th round of the Premier League.
He said: "I think the desire to win titles drives us forward. We know that we may have the opportunity this season to win some trophies, so we are really happy to work hard and hope we can keep going."
Regarding his goal: "We didn't start the second half as we wanted. But as I said, it was nice to score. I love getting into those positions, but sometimes the ball doesn't come, but today Mohamed Salah played the ball, so I was really happy to score."
On having 7 days of rest after this match: "We need it. Definitely. We are a little tired. It will be nice this week to have some days off."
