Spanish media reports have revealed that English club Arsenal is interested in signing Frenkie de Jong, the star of Spanish club Barcelona, during the upcoming summer transfer window to strengthen the team's midfield.
According to "Fichajes" website, Arsenal is ready to make an offer of 75 million euros for the services of the Dutch star, capitalizing on his remarkable performance this season under coach Hans Flick.
Although De Jong's contract extends until 2026, Barcelona's management has not yet started renewal negotiations, putting the club in a position of either extending his contract or selling him next summer to avoid losing him for free in the future.
