England national team star Harry Kane appeared at a press conference, to talk about tomorrow's confrontation against Spain, in the final of the European Nations Cup "Euro 2024" at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
England captain Harry Kane said: “A lot of us were sad after that result [in the Euro 2020 final]. It's always a long journey to get back to where we are now. Full credit to the resilience the boys have shown, which is fantastic. Something about the mentality of this group is that we are back in another European final.”
He added: “Winning tomorrow will mean everything. There is extra fire and we are hungry. Whenever you lose a final match, It is difficult to erase it from memory. Losing Euro 2020 was difficult, but that was three years ago. It was a difficult journey to get here, but now it is about executing the game plan.”
And he stated: “The team’s confidence has grown as we have gone through the tournament. Our experiences build resilience and confidence. We know that we have great players and a great team; we will need all of that and more.” I'm sure there will be some nerves, but when you go out on the field, it's about doing your job."
He stressed: "It's no secret that I haven't won any title. Tomorrow I have a chance to win one of the biggest tournaments.”
He concluded, saying: “We support ourselves against any team. We have been through difficult periods in this tournament but we have come out the other side. This builds tremendous belief and resilience, both of which you need in the final.”
