
Felipe Milo announces his retirement from football
Brazilian Felipe Milo, the star of Fluminness, announced on Friday, January 24, 2025, that he retired from football completely after a long and accomplished career.
Milo had announced earlier that he retracted the idea of retiring because of his desire to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup, but he decided to make the final decision after his contract with his current club Fluminness.
In a statement posted on his official account, on Instagram, Milo said: "Today I closed one of the most important chapters of my life, my career as a football player, years full of battles and achievements, but most of all, it was years when I saw the goal of God be fulfilled in every step I took And he added: "My strength has always came from my faith in God, and in the most difficult moments he was with me, and in the moments of glory, he reminded me of being grateful."
Milo also thanked all the clubs he played, the fans who supported him throughout his career, and his colleagues in various teams, expressing his great gratitude to them.
During his career over the course of more than 20 years, Milo played with 12 clubs in Brazil, Spain and Italy, and among the most prominent clubs he represented, Flamingo, Palmeiras, Fluminness, Inter Milan, Juventus, Mallora, Almeria, and Saray.
