Brazilian club Santos revealed through its official account on X platform the nature of the injury suffered by Brazilian star Neymar Jr. during the match against Atlético Mineiro in the Brazilian league.

Neymar had to leave the pitch injured in the first half of his team's match against Atlético Mineiro, which ended with Santos winning 2-0, noting that he had also been absent recently due to another injury.

The club stated that Neymar underwent medical examinations which showed he is suffering from a hamstring injury, which is different from the previous injury he had.

The club said: "Neymar will be re-evaluated periodically for monitoring and determining the new treatment."

They added: "Neymar will continue to work on strengthening his muscles, always striving to achieve better muscle levels to prevent new injuries."

According to several reports from Brazil, Neymar is expected to be sidelined for 4 weeks.
