Hossam Hassan stated via "On Sport" channel: "A great day for Egyptian football after getting closer to qualifying for the World Cup 2026 with a national coaching staff."
He added: "I thank all the players for their performance today against Burkina Faso, which has 23 professional players in the strongest leagues in the world."
He concluded: "We played a balanced match between defense and attack, and we could have snatched a goal, but the draw is good away from home, and we need one point from the next two matches to officially qualify for the World Cup."
