Injuries Hit Eintracht Frankfurt's Ranks

Eintracht Frankfurt has received a major blow after confirming that Brazilian goalkeeper Kawa Santos has suffered a torn ACL, in addition to the injury of team star Mario Götze, following their exit from the Europa League against Tottenham.

The club announced that Santos, 22 years old, sustained the injury during the 1-0 loss in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals, and after examinations, it was found that he has a torn ACL, which means he will be sidelined for a long time.

Meanwhile, Götze left the match early after just 17 minutes due to a muscle injury in his thigh, and he will be out indefinitely, while Faiz Shaibi replaced him.

These absences come at a critical time, as Eintracht Frankfurt currently sits third in the Bundesliga standings with 51 points, just 3 points ahead of fourth-placed Leipzig, and 5 points ahead of Mainz in fifth place, amid a fierce battle for qualification to the Champions League.
