French club Paris Saint-Germain announced the injury of their Ecuadorian defender, William Bachu, following the team's qualification for the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League at the expense of English club Aston Villa.

The club stated in an official statement that Bachu will rest until next Sunday, without disclosing the nature of the injury, confirming his absence from the match against Le Havre on Saturday, as part of the 30th round of Ligue 1.

Bachu, who is 23 years old, is considered a key player in coach Luis Enrique's lineup this season, as he is regarded as the player with the most appearances for the team since joining from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2024.

Paris Saint-Germain officially secured the Ligue 1 title two weeks ago, before the end of the competition with six rounds remaining, achieving the title for the fourth consecutive season and the 13th in its history.

The team also qualified for the Champions League semi-finals for the second consecutive season, after winning 3-1 in the first leg at the Parc des Princes and losing 3-2 in the second leg at Villa Park against Aston Villa.
