
The Saudi Ministry of Sports revealed the fact that Louay Nazer, president of the Jeddah Al-Ittihad Club, submitted his resignation from the presidency of the club, days after he won the presidency of the board of the non-profit Al-Ittihad Foundation.
Press reports stated that Louay Nazer officially submitted his resignation papers to the Ministry of Sports, during the past few hours, due to interference in the club’s decision-making process.
The sources explained, this Saturday evening, that the Ministry of Sports has not yet received an official resignation from engineer Louay Nazer.
Some reports stated that Louay Nazer was close to announcing the hiring of Italian Stefano Pioli as coach of the first team, succeeding Argentine Marcelo Gallardo, after he obtained his signature.
