Marwan Al-Sahafi joins the Saudi delegation in Kuwait

The Saudi national team announced, this evening, Saturday, that Marwan Al-Sahafi, a player for the Belgian club Beerskot, has joined the national team’s camp, which is currently being held in Kuwait, to participate in the 26th Gulf Championship.

Hervé Renard, the coach of the Saudi national team, excluded Firas Al-Braikan, the Al-Ahly Jeddah striker, from the final team roster in the Gulf Cup, and decided to include the journalist instead.

The national team explained, through its account, that the journalist joined the Al-Akhdar camp, after the start of his club’s winter break, to participate with his teammates in the Gulf Cup.

The Saudi national team succeeded in qualifying for the semi-finals of the Gulf Cup, as runner-up in the second group with 6 points, equal to the leading Bahrain national team, while the Iraq and Yemen national teams bid farewell to the tournament.
