Disciplinary Committee sanctions against Al-Ahly and Pyramids
The Egyptian Football Association revealed, this evening, Saturday, the penalties of the Disciplinary Committee regarding the mutual complaints between Al-Ahly and Pyramids following the events of the match that brought them together in the league competition last season.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly defeated Pyramids 1-0, in a match held between them in the Egyptian League competitions, last June, during which altercations occurred between the players of the two teams.
The Egyptian Football Association announced the decisions of the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee that were taken during the last period and were not announced at the time.
The committee issued sanctions regarding the complaint submitted by Pyramids against Al-Ahly as follows:
First: : Mohamed Siraj El-Din, a member of Al-Ahly’s Board of Directors, was deprived of participating in football activities for a period of 3 months, while warning him for what he did using social media sites.
Second: Khaled was suspended. Mohamed Abdel Fattah, Al-Ahly’s full-back, 3 matches, after he lost his power He was expelled in his team’s match against Pyramids.
Third: File the complaint submitted against Khaled Murtaja, Al-Ahly treasurer, Mohamed Al-Garhi, board member, Saad Shalaby, executive director, and Amir Tawfiq, director. Contracts (at the time of decision-making), regarding incitement to collective insults.
The committee issued sanctions regarding Al-Ahly’s complaint against Pyramids. As follows:
First: Pyramids player Mahmoud Abdel-Aty Donga was suspended for 3 matches and fined 100,000 pounds, for what he did on social media against the referee of the Al-Ahly match.
Second: Karim Hafez was suspended for one match for what he did after the end of the Al-Ahly and Pyramids match.
Third: Marwan Hamdy was suspended for 6 matches, and fined 100,000 pounds, for what he did after the end of the Al-Ahly and Pyramids match.
Fifth: File the complaint submitted against Mamdouh Eid, the CEO of the Pyramids Club, Hani Saeed, the sports director, and the duo Mahmoud Zalaka and Ahmed El-Shenawy, the manager. Administrative Ahmed Mohamed Zaher.
