Iraq begins its Gulf Cup campaign against Yemen
The Iraqi national team begins its campaign in Zain Gulf 26 in Kuwait, facing its counterpart, the Yemeni national team, for the first round.
Iraq will meet Yemen next Sunday at Jaber Mubarak Stadium. Al-Hamd Al-Sabah in the city of Sulaibikhat, Kuwait.
The Iraqi team arrived in Kuwait this evening, while the delegation of the Yemeni team arrived in Kuwait before Days.
It is noteworthy that the last meeting between the national team ended with the Al-Rafidain Lions winning by five clean goals in the last edition of the Gulf Cup.
The Iraqi team faced its Yemeni counterpart in 14 previous matches. Iraq won 11 matches and drew on three occasions, and Yemen had never achieved a victory over Iraq.
