Mido attacks the Confederation of African Football
Former Zamalek star Ahmed Hossam Mido attacked the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after excluding several Egyptian stars, including Egyptian star Mohamed. Salah is one of the CAF awards.
Mido said on the “On Time Sports” channel: “Definitely.” Zizou was subjected to injustice by not receiving the award. He was the most decisive player in Africa, and Hussein El-Shahat was the reason for changing the results of important matches for Al-Ahly.
He added: "There is a conflict of interest, when the president of the African Confederation is the former president of Sun Downs, and when Williams receives this award his financial value will become higher, and the beneficiary of this award is Motsepe."
He continued: “Williams is an ordinary goalkeeper and his mistakes caused Sun Downs to lose a lot, but conflicts of interest and courtesies play a role, and what happened was unfair to Zizou.”
He continued: “How come Mohamed Salah is not among the candidates for the list of the best player on the continent is a very strange matter, and how can we agree to that? Egyptian men within the African Union must have a role, as long as there are illogical decisions.”
