Liverpool's position on the inclusion of Jeremy Frimpong
A German press report revealed Liverpool's position on signing Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremy Frimpong.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg said: “Liverpool is impressed by his development and performance. Jeremy is at Bayer Leverkusen, however, the 24-year-old right-back is not currently a concrete target to sign in the summer."
He added:" The reason Liverpool does not want to include the player is that coach Arne Slott prefers the traditional right-back in a four-man defence, and Frimpong's role does not currently fit into Slott's playing system.”
Several clubs want to sign the young defender, most notably Real Madrid.
