Martinez wins the 2024 Goalkeeper of the Year award
Argentine national team goalkeeper and Aston Villa player Emiliano Martinez was crowned the best goalkeeper in the world award presented by FIFA.
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) held the award in the evening Today, Tuesday, a ceremony was held at the Aspire Academy in Qatar.
Martinez was competing for this award with David Raya, Ederson, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Mike Maignan, Unai Simon, Andrey Lunin.
Martinez won this award for the second time in the last 3 years, noting that he also won the best goalkeeper award from Fran Football.
