The Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the winner of Liverpool, and the Moroccan Achraf Hakimi, the French full-back of Paris Saint-Germain, were at the head of the best squad in Africa for the year 2024 during the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards ceremony, which was held today in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh.
The best squad in Africa was:
Goalkeeper: Cameroonian Andre Onana.
Defense: Moroccan Achraf Hakimi, Senegalese Khalidou Koulibaly, Congolese Chancel Mbemba.
Midfield: Moroccan Sofiane Amrabat, Ivorian Franck Kesé, Ghanaian Mohamed Qudous, Malian Yves Bissouma.
Attack: Egyptian Mohamed Salah and Nigerians Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.
