Guardiola: The defeat was not the hardest, and we are suffering

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola appeared in press statements after the loss against Manchester United 2-1, in the sixteenth round of the English Premier League.

The coach said “This year this happened several times, we wasted a lot of things. We were not nice in the way we played, before it was very smooth, and now we are struggling for different reasons. Many defeats.”

He added: “We did our best and the match was almost over. They had more possession in the first half but nothing special. We gave up two goals, it was very difficult, that's what it is. What can I say? We can't blame this or that player, that's not the case. It is the season, a difficult season.”

He stressed: “We did not play to our best. We are not at our best and are struggling a little. Now we will not play all this week.”

He added: “In the past, we did not lose many matches in two seasons. Now we lost in 8 games, you have to defend. We lost a lot of matches. It's difficult. We have to move forward and try to find a solution and try to win matches.”

He concluded: “I think that this defeat was not the most difficult defeat in nine years, as Champions League defeats are more difficult. But for now, we need positive results to improve our morale. It's getting worse day by day. I have to find the solution. So far I have not found it, and this is the truth.”
