Additional penalties for Al-Ahly players after the loss to Pachuca

Al-Ahly club officials decided to punish the first team players, after losing to Pachuca in the Challenge Cup of the Intercontinental Club Championship, yesterday, Saturday.

Al-Ahly lost to Pachuca on penalties after the match between them ended in a goalless draw, so Al-Ahly failed to win the Challenge Cup and reach the final of the Intercontinental Cup to face Real Madrid.

According to press reports, Al-Ahly management will impose financial penalties on the team’s players after the loss to Pachuca in the Intercontinental Cup.

Reports indicated that Mohamed Ramadan, the sports director of Al-Ahly Club, will impose additional financial penalties other than the fine stipulated in the sanctions list.

This came because of the recklessness of Al-Ahly players in the Pachuca match and their failure to take advantage of the opportunities provided to them to settle the result in their favor before resorting to penalty kicks.
