Schubert criticizes Pyramids after losing in the Champions League
Former Al-Ahly star Ahmed Schubert criticized the Pyramids team after losing to Esperance of Tunisia yesterday.
Pyramids lost to Esperance of Tunisia with a score of 2-0 in a match within the framework of the third round of the group stage of the African Champions League.
Schubert said in radio statements: “I do not know what will happen to the Pyramids team in Africa, what will happen to them in the Champions League. Fortunately, his group is easy and he will not have a problem in Qualification and he and Esperance will be the qualifiers from the group.”
He added: “Also in the last round Pyramids tied with Djoliba in Mali, and it is fortunate for them that they do not have an audience to revolt against the team, and had it not been for El-Shenawy, they would have lost by 4 or 5 yesterday.”
He continued: “He is not the bully Pyramids that we see in Egypt. His technical and financial capabilities indicate that he is much better than that. In general, the next round is with Esperance here in Egypt. If he loses, it will be a problem, because Djoliba can win Sagrada.” And the group is getting confused.”
Schubert concluded: “I am truly very surprised by Pyramids’ performance in the African Championship, and I hope they reorganize the team from scratch.”
