Everything you need to know about the European World Cup qualifiers draw

This Friday afternoon, the draw for the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup will take place, which is scheduled to be held in Canada, Mexico and the United States. 

The draw ceremony is scheduled to begin at 1:30 Mecca time, and 12:30 Egypt time, on the open beIN Sports news channel.

The participating teams will be divided into 12 groups, with 5 teams in 6 groups, and there will be 6 groups in which 4 teams will be present. Only

The winner of each group will qualify directly for the World Cup, while the second-placed team will move on to the playoff qualifiers alongside the best 4 teams in the European Nations League classification.

4 teams will qualify through the playoff, and thus the total number of European teams qualifying for the World Cup will be 16.

The qualifiers are scheduled to begin sometime between March 2025 until November 2025.
