Officially... Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 World Cup
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) held an extraordinary meeting to announce the hosts for the 2030 and 2034 World Cups.
The FIFA Congress met today, Wednesday, December 11, via The Internet was exceptional in order to announce the hosts for the 2030 and 2034 World Cups.
At the beginning of the ceremony, FIFA President Gianni appeared. Infantino, in order to deliver his welcoming speech at the conference that started from the Swiss city of Nyon.
Infantino said: “Welcome” in Arabic, welcome everyone, football. The world united, today we will reveal the hosts of the 2030 and 2034 World Cups, and today football will witness a new era.”
He continued: “All measures The agenda that we will announce today was taken with the approval of all members, and all member associations were asked to vote on the winners of the honor of hosting the 2030 and 2034 World Cups, before this extraordinary meeting.”
He concluded his speech: “Thank you to everyone who participated in this matter. The 2034 World Cup will undoubtedly be wonderful, and I am happy that everyone agrees on this matter, in addition to the 2030 edition that will be exceptional because it will be the first in the new century after 100 years have passed since the first edition.”
This meeting witnessed the announcement that the bid of Spain, Portugal and Morocco won the honor of hosting the 2030 World Cup, with a joint tripartite bid.
It also witnessed the announcement of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s victory in hosting the 2034 World Cup, as it was the only applicant in its candidacy file, which allowed FIFA to make the decision without competition.
Saudi Arabia will provide five Ten stadiums in 5 Saudi cities, namely Riyadh, Jeddah, Al-Khobar, NEOM, and Abha, to host the 2034 World Cup.
