Vitor Pereira attacks the referee of the Al Hilal match
Vitor Pereira, the Saudi Al-Shabab coach, attacked the referee of the Al-Hilal match that was held yesterday, Saturday.
Al-Shabab lost to Al-Hilal with a score of 2-1 in a match held within the framework of the 12th round of the Saudi League.
Pereira said in statements in the press conference after the match: “I feel like a clown in the circus, and I do not want to explain that. The referee was unfair to us without a doubt and was only giving yellow cards to young players.”
He added: “The expulsion we were subjected to is not correct, and I believe that the referee changed the result of the match in favor of Al Hilal, even though we performed at an amazing level throughout the 90 minutes, especially in the first half.”
He stressed: “I congratulate the referee for changing the result of the match, and I myself prefer local referees to foreign referees, and I thank the players for the level they presented, despite what happened.”
He concluded his statements: “We always perform at great levels in big matches, but the result is in favor of the opponent in the end.”
