Gerrard: Facing Al-Ittihad is difficult. And we are ready

Steven Gerrard, Al-Ettihad coach, stressed the importance of his team’s upcoming confrontation against Al-Ittihad, and the necessity of improving performance and exploiting opportunities in order to achieve positive results.

Gerrard said in his statements: “ We know that facing Al-Ittihad is difficult, as it is a team that has distinguished players and has a strong record in the competition.”

He added: “After the last result we achieved, we must improve performance and make better use of opportunities to achieve positive results.”

He continued: “All players are available for tomorrow’s match against Al-Ittihad. We have a clear plan for the match, and we are seeking to achieve the three points.”

Gerrard continued: “Our team is in good mental condition, and we have shown improvement in many tactical aspects during the recent matches.”

Al-Ettifaq will host its counterpart Al-Ittihad tomorrow, Saturday, as part of the 12th round of the Saudi Roshan League Championship.
