Alexander Gomez's position on playing in the UAE match with Al Ain

Press reports revealed the position of Alexandre Gomez, the Saudi Al-Ahly star, regarding playing against Al-Ain, UAE, in the fifth round of the AFC Elite Champions League. It is scheduled for tomorrow, Monday.

Gomez joined Al-Ahly from the Brazilian side Fluminense in the Mercato last summer. But he did not participate continuously with Al-Raqi due to injury.

The player participated in the last Al-Fayhaa match and a coach stated Al-Ahly's Matthias Jaisle said after the match that he was concerned about the condition of Alexander, who participated in about 70 minutes in the match.

He explained: “Alexander participated in about 70 minutes, but he is not accustomed to that. I am concerned about his condition. I want him to enter the match atmosphere gradually until he adapts to Al-Ahly’s style, and we hope to see him in better condition.”

Al-Riyadiah newspaper said that Matthias Jaisle is awaiting the medical staff’s report to determine Alexander Gomez’s position on participating in front of Al Ain in light of his pelvic injury, which requires examinations after every confrontation.
