Mourinho commented sarcastically on a question about Ronaldo joining Fenerbahce
The Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, coach of Fenerbahce, responded to a question about the possibility of his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo joining the Turkish club.
Mourinho said in his answer to this question: “The news about... Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Fenerbahce is ridiculous."
He continued: "Cristiano may come to Istanbul to eat because it is located halfway between Saudi Arabia and Portugal, or he may come to see... His old friend Jose, and we can eat at my hotel.”
Mourinho had trained Ronaldo while they were with Real Madrid, and their relationship was good at times and troubled at other times.
