Liverpool intensifies its efforts to include Rayan Sharqi

Some press reports confirmed that the English club Liverpool has intensified its efforts to include Rayan Cherki, a player for the French club Olympique Lyonnais, during the upcoming winter transfer period.

The website reported, “ Caught Offside", that Liverpool will intensify its efforts to sign Rayyan Cherki, taking advantage of the difficult financial situation that the French club Lyon is going through during the current period.

As the French National Council for Financial Supervision issued , strict penalties against Lyon included a threat to temporarily relegate the club to the second division, wage control, and a ban on transfers, which may force them to sell a number of players to get out of this crisis.

The website stated that Liverpool FC had valued the player at 25 million euros, while the French club was asking for 30 million in order to approve the departure of Rayyan Cherki.

The player is linked to the owner of the club. 21 years old, under contract with his current club, Olympic Club Lyon, France, extended until summer 2026.
