Russia excluded from the 2026 World Cup
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the European Union (UEFA) continued to punish the Russian national football team from practicing sports activities.
According to information received from the newspaper The British Daily Mail reported that FIFA and UEFA decided to keep Russia excluded from international sports competitions.
The source added that this decision means the Russian team will be absent from the 2026 World Cup competition.
Russia was also excluded from Euro 2024.
The decision to ban the Russian national team from Sports competitions, against the backdrop of the war between Ukraine and Russia.
